Introduce a west-coast style tea ceremony! Just enjoy! This is our first workshop intended to present a meditation through tea ceremony. The tea ceremony was built in the warring years of the Sengoku Ji-dai in Japan (Before the Edo period). Before, or sometimes during battle, the rival Generals would lay down their weapons and gather for tea with tea master (Sen no rikyu) and take a moment of peace in a neutral setting.
In the tea room, everyone is equal. When you serve and receive a tea, the correct posture is one which is open and exposed, and a state in which one simply observes the environment and the studies, graceful motions of the tea master. We hope we can introduce you to this kind of meditative experience with our workshop. We will prepare a peaceful summer tea room for you. Introduce a west-coast style tea ceremony! Just enjoy!
